TrimTask ("we", "us", or "our") provides a project management platform that helps teams plan, track, and deliver work. These Terms of Service govern your use of TrimTask. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

  • By creating an account or using TrimTask, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
  • If you are using TrimTask on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
  • If you do not agree, you may not access or use the service.

2. Description of Service

  • TrimTask provides a cloud-based project management platform for planning, tracking, and collaborating on work.
  • We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that affect your use of the service.
  • Some features require a paid subscription or add-on purchase, as described on our pricing page.

3. Accounts & Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account and for your team members' use of TrimTask within workspaces you administer.
  • Account holders manage team memberships, permissions, and billing for their workspace.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use TrimTask.

4. Acceptable Use

  • You agree not to use TrimTask to store unlawful, infringing, harmful, or abusive content, or to violate any applicable law.
  • You agree not to attempt to access data you are not authorized to access, reverse engineer the service, or interfere with its operation.
  • You agree not to misuse rate limits, automation, or integrations in a way that degrades the service for others.
  • We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these terms or harms the service or its users.

5. Your Content & Ownership

  • You retain ownership of the projects, tasks, comments, and other content you create in TrimTask.
  • You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display your content solely to provide and improve the service.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload or link to TrimTask.

6. Subscriptions, Billing & Fees

  • Paid plans and add-ons are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our payment processor, Stripe.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your account at any time.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Price changes are communicated in advance and apply on the next renewal cycle.
  • Taxes, where applicable, are added to your invoice.

7. Trials & Promotions

  • We may offer free trials or promotional access to certain features. Trial access ends automatically and does not obligate you to a paid plan unless you choose to subscribe.
  • Trials and promotions are subject to eligibility and may be limited or withdrawn at our discretion.

8. Third-Party Integrations

  • TrimTask may integrate with third-party services such as Google Workspace, calendar, email, and AI assistants.
  • These integrations are governed by the third party's terms and privacy practices in addition to ours.
  • You are responsible for the permissions you grant to integrations and for disconnecting them when no longer needed.

9. Service Availability

  • We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, and events outside our control may cause downtime.
  • We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

10. Intellectual Property

  • TrimTask, its branding, software, and design are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.
  • You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the service without our permission.

11. Termination

  • You can close your account at any time from your settings. Account deletion removes your personal data and workspace content within a reasonable period.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, remain unpaid, or pose a risk to the service.
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, liability, and governing law) remain in effect after closure.

12. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

  • TrimTask is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
  • Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or by email and post the updated version here with a revised date.
  • Continued use of TrimTask after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
